Chocolate + Peanut Butter Smoothie // Vegan + GF + Raw
The good old chocolate smoothie. Ahhh but made dairy-free, yes a tricky thing for those familiar to the creamy richness of the (sadly) traditional version. Well actually, it's pretty straight forward. In fact there are many ways to go about it. But you do not need to contribute to the enslavement of our beautiful gal pal cows to get your fix. For one, you won't be able to taste the difference because while your sensitive palette might not like these ingredients on their own yet, together they transform into a pretty marvelous creation, and secondly, this is just a powerhouse of goodness that you are welcome to guzzle as much as you desire. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. This particular choc PB combination is particularly good. I never really got into Reese's Peanut Butter cups growing up, nor did I really like nuts - but over the recent 5 years or so I've really been coming round to them. So much so that I would say that I LOVE this combination. I make this about once a week when we are low on fruit, because it only requires bananas as a fresh ingredient, yet still feels like you are making a decadent treat. Drink up my friends.
This recipe serves one.
- 1 frozen banana
- 3 ripe spotty bananas
- desired amount of plant mylk
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and whiz to combine. Enjoy!
